The industrial markets of Juárez and Chihuahua had a good start of the gross demand for industrial buildings, for rent or construction in the aerospace and maquila segments, specifically.

According to the Solili real estate portal, approximately 20,000 square meters of lease were registered in Ciudad Juárez, while 10,000 square meters were rented in the state capital, without registering vacancy in both entities.

The portal highlights that the developers of this border, for the first quarter of the year, are anticipating the start of new construction under the scenario at the end of January where they have seen the rental price rise along with the downward adjustment in vacancy.

"Yes, there is a lot of demand for industrial buildings and fortunately there has been a response from some real estate agents who have been able to cover this demand, but I know that there is still a lack of buildings for companies that are looking to locate," said Fabiola Luna Avila, President of Index Juárez.
