With an investment of around 250 thousand dollars, the Powersonic Solutions company, dedicated to the manufacture of automotive harnesses, officially began operations in Ciudad Juárez.
Under the shelter service offered by the Tecma company, the company began operations with 30 employees, with a view to growing to thousands in the next five years.
The Canadian-born company started in 1998 and has a presence in the United States, Guyana, Slovakia, India, China and now Mexico.
According to Jason Rampersaud, director and owner of the company, the decision to settle here responds to the need to supply the company's customers more quickly, rather than other factors, such as competitively priced labor.

“We had been told that Mexico is the place where we should be. This is the precise time to start operations here ”, he said.
He stressed that the plant in Juárez will become an important part of the corporate's global operations.
This region was chosen because the locality is an expert in automotive harnesses, so it turned out to be a better option than other industrial cities such as Tijuana or Monterrey.
For the director of the company, the Mexican workforce is very disciplined and dedicated. "They are similar to the Chinese in that sense," he added.

He added that, although it was considered to start operations in Juárez independently, in the end they decided to look for a shelter to guide them in the city. "They have turned out to be fantastic partners," he added.
Finally, the director stressed that the difference between the company's products and others is that they manufacture complex harnesses with a medium production level. “Now everyone wants to tailor things to customers. That is what we have focused on for the last ten years. We make complex, specialized products with a low to medium production level ”, he concluded.
