Chihuahua presents plan to attract industrial investment

In order for Chihuahua to change its economic dynamics, and not only host traditional manufacturing to concentrate industries with added value, local businessmen presented the investment plan 2021-2023.

In a conference, Alfredo Nolasco, general director of Chihuahua Global, a promotion agency for the attraction of investments and that arose derived from the pandemic, the result of an agreement between the main clusters and business groups, explained that by 2021 they are expected to reach the entity more than 1,500 million dollars and for 2022 and 2023 it seeks to replicate this amount for each year.

This plan aims to position Chihuahua in the top 3 of the states that attract the most capital, that is, to leave behind the 10th place.

"Think of around 1,500 million dollars a year, in the next three years, with direct jobs around 10,000 and with projects landed around 50," he reiterated.

There are five sectors that are fundamental to change the dynamics of the entity: aerospace, automotive (oriented towards electromobility), electromechanical (generate and assemble chips and materials related to technology 4.0), biotechnology (development and construction of more medical supplies, as well as How to take advantage of the fact that Chihuahua covers 70% of the market for manufacturing materials for the United States) and logistics (better dynamics of transport of supplies between Ciudad Juárez and El Paso).

Therefore, a business tour is implemented, where Chihuahua visits the main national and international fairs, such as the Mexico Aerospace Fair in Querétaro and the Automotive Industry Summit San Antonio.

In addition, the image of Chihuahua is being promoted on a business level and the development of three alliances; the first with the state, municipal and foreign authorities to generate administrative facilities for investments, the second is with West Texas and the third coalition is with Sonora and Baja California.
