Megacable Operations Center in Bajío moves to Querétaro

In order to strengthen its presence and relationship with the corporate segment in the region and mainly in Querétaro, Megacable moved its Bajío Region Operations Center from the city of León, Guanajuato to the capital of Querétaro.

The start of operations of this complex, detailed Enrique Yamuni Robles, general director of the company, will increase the efficiency of the services of this company for residential and corporate clients located in Guanajuato, Querétaro, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí and Zacatecas.

"This area is the one with the highest economic growth in the country in the last decade and this helps improve people's quality of life, so that they have better incomes, better infrastructure and services," said the director during the opening ceremony.

Regarding Megacable's goals, Yamuni Robles anticipated that growth will be exponential, and it is expected to close the year with 30,000 jobs throughout the country. In addition, he anticipated that they seek to double the size of the company in the next three years, to make it a "telecommunications benchmark in Mexico."

The company will invest this year to build more than 3,000 kilometers of fiber network in the Bajío region, which will be added to the existing network.

Currently, 90% of the company's subscribers, located in the metropolitan area of Querétaro, have migrated to fiber optics and the goal, said the CEO, is to advance this year in the evolution of the network in more cities in the region such as León, Guanajuato, Celaya, Irapuato and Zacatecas, to name a few.

According to information from the company, Megacable Holdings has operations in 28 states in the country, with a presence in 400 locations.

As of December 31, 2021, it reported close to 4.2 million unique subscribers, including more than 3.8 million internet subscribers, more than 3.5 million video users and more than 3.0 million landline subscribers.

The company offers its services through a network of almost 66.6 thousand kilometers, covering more than 9.5 million homes.
