As part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Bosch plant in Aguascalientes, Governor Tere Jiménez announced, together with executives from the German company, the investment of 240 million euros in an expansion project in the state.

The investment represents the generation of 400 new jobs to start the production of new brake technology (Electronic Parking Brake, EPB) for globally recognized brands, such as Tesla, BMW, Nissan, among others.

The governor announced that thanks to the confidence of the investors, they decided to increase the investment from more than 70 million at the beginning, to 240 million euros, thanks to the excellent performance of the workforce at the local level.

He reiterated his commitment to work so that Aguascalientes has the necessary conditions to maintain the confidence of investors and to attract more foreign capital, which allows greater opportunities for development and well-being.

For his part, René Schlegel, president of Bosch Mexico, highlighted that this German company has 14 plants throughout the national territory and only in 2021, Bosch Mexico reached a sales volume of 2.9 billion dollars.

He thanked the support and willingness of the State Governor for Bosch to continue growing in Aguascalientes; "My respect and admiration to all associates and employees of this plant for placing high quality products in the North American automotive market so that millions of people can drive their vehicles with confidence and the highest safety."

In his speech, Orlando Ramírez, vice president for Bosch Aguascalientes, mentioned that this company employs around 1,100 people in Aguascalientes to manufacture life-saving technologies, such as iBooster, ABS and ESP, which are state-of-the-art systems for providing braking assistance.
