Grupo BSH will expand its global home appliance production network and will build its first factory in Mexico with an estimated investment of 5.2 billion pesos (mp) to expand its business of manufacturing home appliances on the continent.
Construction will begin next summer in Monterrey, Nuevo León, and production will begin in 2024, although it plans to begin construction in the summer of 2022 and estimates that it will create 1,500 jobs on an estimated area of 430,000 square meters.
The plant will be designed to generate up to 600,000 units of refrigerators each year and will be the first refrigeration equipment plant that Bosch installs in Mexico.

"The new factory will become a strategic pillar for our global production network," said Carla Kriwet, General Manager of Grupo BSH Electrodomesticos.
“Mexico has a very good infrastructure, a well-developed supplier network and a qualified and specialized workforce; which makes it an excellent place for the production of BSH”, Rene Schlegel, president of Bosch Mexico, said in writing.
The refrigeration appliances to be produced at the new plant are tailored to the large storage capacity needs of consumers in the North American market.
