If the investment is made, this new plant, dedicated to electromobility, would be an expansion of the existing plant in the municipality of Villa Reyes, San Luis Potosí, generating around 800 new jobs.
Currently, BMW produces electric models only in 5 plants in the world, 3 in Germany and 2 in China, Mexico being the first in North America, for this, Mexico would have competed with Germany to get this investment.
