The American company Avery Dennison will install a new intelligent identification tag production unit in Querétaro, where it will invest 100 million dollars and foresee the creation of 600 new jobs, including operators, technicians and professionals.
This new plant will be the company's largest RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) -data storage system on a tag, through radio-frequency identification- at a global level, explained the senior vice president and general manager by Avery Dennison, Francisco Melo.

The new unit is in line with the company's vision, considering that in the future each product will have a unique identity and thus allow the article to have a digital guide that, in turn, will facilitate data curation.
The investment will bring various benefits in the treatment of supply chains that allow them to serve the fashion, logistics, automotive, food and pharmaceutical sectors. This investment project will have an impact on covering the growing demand, to the extent that the accession of digital identification technologies in the region penetrates, together with supporting the firm's growth projections.

"This investment will support the growing demand, generate resilience and flexibility in our global network (...) With this we reinforce the intention of creating a solid foundation that allows us to continue leading the electrical identification space," he explained.
The new plant will be located on 25,000 square meters in the Finsa III Industrial Park, in the town of Santa Catarina, in the north of the capital. It is the third unit of the firm in the state. The production plant will be of advanced technology, in addition to accrediting certifications in terms of sustainability and will be inaugurated in 2024.
