3 new Prologis industrial parks advance in Edomex

During a meeting with the government of the State of Mexico (Edomex), Prologis announced that it will build three new industrial parks, in which five thousand 480 million pesos (mdp) will be invested.

The developments will be built in the municipalities of Cuautitlán, Lerma y Toluca. Together they will generate 8,700 jobs, according to Governor Alfredo Del Mazo. This initiative is one more step for the logistics consolidation not only of the state, but of all of Mexico.

In this sense, he recognized the work of Héctor Ibarzabal Guerrero, general director of the company in the country, for promoting projects to advance in the latest generation of industrial development.

Prologis is consolidated in Edomex with 7 developments underway and more than 14 thousand million pesos of investment. In addition to the investment announcement, the authorities, together with Prologis directors, reviewed the progress of other projects under construction that the company has in Edomex.

This is the extension of the Prologis Park Grande in Tepotzotlán. As well as the construction of Park Landero II in Cuautitlán Izcalli, Park Laurel in Cuautitlán and Prologis Park Laguna in Huehuetoca.

The latter were presented in 2021, with an investment of nine thousand million pesos to detonate the economy in the north of the Valley of Mexico.

According to data from the state government, four years ago there were 104 industrial complexes in the entity. Until June 2022, 113 are counted.

Given this scenario, Del Mazo stated that his administration will continue "doing its part" to provide certainty and streamline processes for business growth. This with projects that encourage investment and generate opportunities.

It is worth mentioning that Prologis is an international industrial real estate development and leasing company, with a presence in Edomex for 20 years.

The company has 227 industrial parks throughout the country, of which 63 are in Mexican territory.
