Housing self-production includes Infonavit and Seduvi for CDMX

The Institute of the National Fund for Workers' Housing (Infonavit) and the Secretariat of Urban Development and Housing of Mexico City, signed a collaboration agreement to facilitate self-production and home improvement works among the beneficiaries of the Institute who reside in the capital of the country.

The agreement seeks to simplify the administrative procedures for the execution of projects financed by Infonavit credits, which will help the worker interested in the construction, expansion or improvement of a house of up to 120 square meters in this federal entity.

The agreement was signed by the General Director of Infonavit, Carlos Martínez Velázquez, and the CDMX Secretary of Urban Development and Housing, Rafael Gregorio Gómez Cruz.

The projects carried out within the framework of this agreement must be endorsed by a technical advisor or construction company and reviewed by a verifier who is registered with Infonavit.

The advisor will be responsible for ensuring that the works have provision of services, basic habitability conditions and comply with what is stated in the Construction Regulations for the Federal District and its Complementary Technical Standards.
