Audi Mexico will develop its new high-voltage battery assembly plant in Puebla

Audi Mexico announced a significant milestone on its path to electromobility with the assembly of the first column for the structure of the high-voltage battery assembly plant.

This new facility, which covers 33,600 square meters plus a 5,600-square-meter office penthouse, will be built sustainably. The plant will be lit during the day only by sunlight and will have heat recovery technology, keeping the structure at an adequate temperature without the need for coolers.

Battery production at Audi Mexico will have a team of approximately 350 people, this team will focus on productive tasks and supervision of quality assurance, analysis and planning processes.

This plant will be the first of the Audi group outside Germany to carry out the production of high-voltage batteries and modules, marking an important step towards a more sustainable mobility future, and it is also the second to begin construction in the country.
