Asiaway announces expansion for 372.6 million dollars in San Luis Potosí

The Chinese company supplier to the automotive sector, Asiaway Automotive Components, inaugurated the first phase of its new plant in San Luis Potosí, in which an investment of 41.4 million dollars was made, generating 300 new jobs.

“Today the great Asiaway plant opened its doors for all Potosinos. The automotive sector continues to trust our state and plants from all over the world continue to be installed here. Thanks to this project, there will be a great economic spillover and more jobs," commented Ricardo Gallardo Cardona on his social networks. "Thanks to the international alliances with China, the Asiaway company will have an office in San Luis Potosí."

The 23,000-square-meter plant is located in the WTC Industrial Park in San Luis Potosí next to the Toyota Tsusho company on Central Avenue in the park. The project contemplates a second phase of 372.6 million additional dollars that will generate 1,700 more jobs in the coming years.

The Tier 2 level supplier, produces aluminum and zinc automotive components through the die-casting process (HPDC 125T – 6600T), CNC, machining, cleaning, testing, assembly, storage and distribution to various Tier 1 companies in San Luis Potosí, and in the Bajío and North region of the country.

Asiaway has another 4,700 m2 plant since 2017 in the Logistik I Industrial Park where another 70 people work.
