The Mexican Association of Private Industrial Parks (AMPIP) developed a road map called "New Generations of smart and sustainable industrial parks."
The tool seeks to help industrial complexes to migrate to sustainability schemes according to the 2030 agenda.
Some of the strategies that have been applied to reduce their carbon footprint are: substitution of electrical energy for LED systems, implementation of solar cells, and installation of wind energy.

Finally, I recalled that for 12 years the parks have carried out an internal exercise to save energy, water and other resources.
The director of the AMPIP, during the forum "Industrial decarbonization 2030", highlighted that to accelerate the intelligent and sustainable evolution, each company must train the personnel, where each one must have a role in matters of safety, environmental care and empathy.

He stressed that industrial parks are a community that is integrated with society, the state and the country, where sustainability is not limited to the private sector, but involves the public sector to measure goals and results.
Joining the global initiative to combat climate change is not only about energy but also about water. For this reason, industrial complexes need to use renewable energy, install rain capture systems and create processes to improve the collection and separation of waste, while establishing social impact models.
