In order to shorten delivery service in the northwest region of the country, Amazon will open a new shipping center in Hermosillo, Sonora.

Same-day deliveries will be for Hermosillo, while next-day deliveries will be for Ciudad Obregón, Guaymas, San Luis Río Colorado, Nogales and Navojoa.

The construction of this center is in charge of the developer Corporate Properties of the Americas (CPA); In addition, the e-commerce company will have vacancies in different areas, it said in a statement.

It should be remembered that e-commerce in Mexico grew 81% during 2020, adding sales of 316,000 million pesos, which is equivalent to 9% of total retail in Mexico, according to the Mexican Association for Online Sales (AMVO) .

One of the markets, close to Hermosillo, and monitored by the Solili real estate platform, Saltillo, in Sonora, continues to attract new investments from the automotive industry at a firm pace and during February 2021 the demand for industrial spaces grew with the arrival of companies specialized in the sector.

Saltillo has an inventory of 4 million 76 thousand 575 square meters, of which there are 239 thousand 64 square meters vacant.
