The Federal Government announced the construction of 10 industrial parks in the Tehuantepec Isthmus Corridor (CIIT), in the southeast of the country.
The intention is to generate a potential arrival of global companies to the new industrial spaces, which will bring an economic benefit to the area. The states involved will be Oaxaca, Veracruz, Tabasco and Chiapas.
These parks are expected to function as receptacles, mainly for US and Asian firms interested in the national territory.
In this regard, businessman Hassan Mansur González confirmed that they already have land for eight of the 10 planned projects.

"Each one will have an area of 380 hectares and represents a total investment of 4.6 billion pesos for its construction," he said.
The installation of new foreign companies is expected to bring jobs, technology and development to the region.
"This offers the possibility that the Private Initiative seeks to join," he concluded.
Another area that anticipates new investment due to the limited availability of industrial spaces is Mérida, where businessmen are preparing the Industrial submarket of Umán, in Yucatán.
This is located next to the Mérida-Campeche highway, which was considered an area of logistics potential.
On the other hand, the municipality of Umán is working on its Urban Development Plan. With this, it seeks to offer certainty and a clear definition of the vocation of the spaces for industrial, commercial and housing development.

According to the executive director of Industrial Development, Esaú Garza de Vega, Yucatán must rise to the needs of the country.
In addition, it will benefit from national projects, such as the entity's new airport and its proximity to the Mayan Train.
Finally, Garza de la Vega assured that countries like Japan have Yucatan in their sights, which is why more modular industrial parks are needed.
“There is a lot of land and in most cases it is wasted. We must give it a vocation and use it for the economic growth and development of the State”, he concluded.
