German companies have made important investments in Mexico during the period 2023 and 2024, the European country is one of the most important commercial partners of the Mexican Republic, with a bilateral trade amounting to 30 billion dollars.

Between January and March 2024, foreign direct investment (FDI) from Germany to Mexico reached 1.74 billion dollars, distributed in reinvestment of profits (1,384 million dollars), accounts between companies (333 million dollars) and new investments (23.6 million dollars).

In 2023, the State of Querétaro received 28.8% of total foreign investment, from six German projects for more than 10 billion pesos, in addition to this, German companies such as Bosch (500 million dollars in Nuevo Leon), Continental (90 million dollars in Aguascalientes), Volkswagen (1,000 million dollars in Puebla) and DHL (new logistics campus in the State of Mexico) have announced multimillion-dollar investments in Mexico this year.

In the first five months of 2024, 127 foreign investment projects have been announced in Mexico, with a total expectation of 39,157 million dollars, the federal entities that have received the most German investment in 2024 are; Puebla with 144 million dollars, San Luis Potosí 361 million and Jalisco with 146 million dollars.
