Bendix maintains commitment to Coahuila and invests 57 million dollars in a fourth industrial plant

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems (Bendix), a company specialized in the manufacture and assembly of anti-lock braking systems (ABS), has announced an investment of 57 million dollars for Plant IV in the municipality of Acuña, dedicated to the manufacture of brake systems for commercial vehicles. With this investment, 180 new direct jobs will be generated.

The plant will use highly automated manufacturing processes and will produce the GSBC (Global Scalable Brake Control) and GSAT (Global Scalable Air Treatment) technologies, which are new modular global braking control and air treatment systems, designed to adapt to the needs of customers in various markets.

The solid integration of base and advanced technologies in the plant will give way to more flexible installation options, facilitating the ability to adapt according to different requirements and needs of vehicle platforms. In addition, the diagnostics and advanced capabilities of GSBC and GSAT give way to automated management.

The new Bendix plant will have an area of 17,88 square meters and is added to the 38,276 square meters existing and in operation in Acuña. In addition, the company is a supplier of air dryers, compressors, valves, actuators and integrated vehicle modules for brake systems in the automotive sector.

The governor of the state Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís stressed the commitment to generate the conditions that companies that decide for the entity deserve.

The general manager of Bendix Acuña, Jacqueline Pérez Salinas, highlighted that for more than 30 years Ciudad Acuña has been manufacturing brake systems for commercial vehicles, where they have obtained excellent results.
